Delete your Bloom Inventory account
How to ask Bloom Technologies to delete your Bloom Inventory account and the data that goes with it. This page covers what we delete, what we keep, and for how long.

How to request deletion
- Email info@bloom.et from the address you use to sign in to Bloom Inventory, with the subject “Delete my account”. The button below starts that email for you.
- Tell us what to delete: your own account, or, if you own the business, the whole business and its data. Include the business name.
- We reply to confirm that the request came from you. If you wrote from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the one on the account.
- We delete within 30 days of that confirmation and email you when it is done. There is no charge.
- Sign out of the app on each phone you used, then uninstall it. Signing out erases the copy of the business's records that the app keeps for offline use. Let it finish syncing first, or anything recorded offline that has not been sent yet is lost.
1. Who this applies to
This page is for anyone with a Bloom Inventory sign-in, whether you own the business or work there. The Bloom Inventory app on Google Play is published by Bloom Technologies. The same sign-in works in the app and on the web, so deleting it ends both.
One sign-in can belong to more than one business, and deleting it removes you from all of them. If you only want to stop working with one business, ask that business's administrator to remove you instead. Your account stays, and so does your access to the others.
2. What is deleted
- Your account
- Your name, email address, password, and the other details on your profile.
- Your sign-ins
- Every session on every phone and browser is ended. The account cannot be signed in to again.
- Your access
- Your roles and your membership in every business the account belonged to.
- The business, if you ask for it
- If you own the business and ask for it to be deleted, we also delete its products, stock, purchases, sales, invoices and payments; the customer, supplier and staff records in it; the files uploaded to it, such as receipts, payment slips and its logo; its settings; and every member's access to it. Before we delete anything, you can ask for a copy of the data in a machine-readable format. Tax law may require you to keep your books after you leave, so ask for the copy if you will need it.
3. What is kept, and for how long
Some data outlasts the account. Either it belongs to someone else, or we are required to keep it:
- A business's own records
- If you work for a business, the sales, stock movements, invoices and other entries you made are that business's records, not part of your account. They stay in its books after your account is deleted, including where they show who made an entry. The same goes for any staff and payroll records it keeps about you. That business controls those records, so a request to delete them goes to the business, not to us.
- Activity log
- Each action an account takes is logged for security, and the log clears itself. Records of what was viewed are deleted within 2 days, and records of what was changed within 14 days.
- Backups
- Deleted data can remain in our backups until they are overwritten, within 30 days. Backups are used only to recover the service after a failure, and nothing you asked us to delete is restored from them.
- Billing records
- Our own invoices and payment records for a business's subscription are kept for as long as Ethiopian tax law requires.
- Your request
- Your deletion request and our reply are kept for 24 months as a record that the request was carried out.
4. Your rights
Deletion is your right of erasure under Article 28 of Ethiopia's Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024. If you think we have handled a request wrongly, tell us at info@bloom.et. You can also complain to the Ethiopian Communications Authority, and you do not have to come to us first.
